Introducing the dopamine detox vs. the dopamine menu: two contrasting trends helping Gen Z combat the winter blues. As the festive season rolls in, many Gen Zers are crafting new ways to lift their spirits and find balance during a time that can often feel heavy.

This winter, they’re dialing into intentional joy.

Dopamine Detox: Put simply, a dopamine detox is all about pressing pause on the constant flood of digital content. From “silent walking” (yep, no podcast in your ears – a rarity!) to mindful activities like reading a book, cooking, or even a yoga session, a dopamine detox prioritizes moments of stillness to reset and rebalance. Less screen time, more “me” time. Goodbye overstimulation, hello zen.

Dopamine Menu: On the flip side, Gen Z’s dopamine menu is all about curating micro-moments of happiness. With wellness trends booming and self-care at an all-time high, rosemary-infused products are making their way into beauty routines across the board. Hair serums, scalp treatments, face oils: you name it, rosemary’s in it.

And it’s not just for the girlies. ‘Bro-scaping’ is on the rise, with male grooming products surging right in time for the festive season. Men are diving into beauty, wellness, and the all-natural landscape alongside everyone else. Nutrient-packed ingredients? Results without the premium price tag? It’s a no-brainer.

Snackle boxes (divided and organized containers) first started to appear during TikTok during cinema, travel, and work vlogs. They’re convenient, varied, and cute - in other words,  perfect for Gen Z. 

Popular search queries amongst Gen Z include ‘snackle box ideas’ and ‘snackle box Walmart’; as we head into the festive season, we predict seasonal snackle boxes will be on the rise and young snackers will be looking for creative and fun ways to display their treats.
